The end of the year always brings a time of reflection, resolutions, and predictions. At Corless Barfield Trial Group, it is a time to work on processes and products that may better our law firm and our clients. When everyone is making resolutions to lose weight, get organized, spend more time with family and friends, eat healthier, stop procrastinating, earn more money, and reduce stress, we are working to ensure that our clients are maximizing the benefits of our law firm and prospective clients are gaining advantages by digital and personalized tools and services we offer.

It was a roller coaster of a year for the legal industry, which was shaken by enormous waves of insurance claims due to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, sexual harassment lawsuits precipitated by the #MeToo Movement, high-profile data breaches, terrorism in popular tourist destinations, and historic gun violence that hastened new gun control laws. The legal industry also saw a flurry of lateral movement tied to the Trump administration’s arrival in Washington and the Mueller investigation. What new set of legal rules will law firms and clients have to adapt to?

A new year is often the perfect time to slow down to reflect on the past year and take steps to improve in the coming year. Predicting the future is hardly an exact science, but it is possible to identify trends and then employ those trends to benefit our clients. Instead of predicting the future, Corless Barfield Trial Group will write it.

In 2018, we will be introducing new technologies, community outreach programs, interactive videos, Q&As with law firm lawyers, more newsletters, educational seminars, and a rollout of a new, dynamic website that provides clients and prospective clients with access to noteworthy commentary on legal news stories.  You’ll get valuable information regarding sinkholes, insurance claims, property damage, high-profile lawsuits, personal injury law, and real estate cases in order to be able to see how our tips, strategies, and best practices apply to you and your situation.

The Internet has made it possible for people to communicate easily while slowly weakening personal connections. Relationships have proven to be the way to increase business, strengthen companies, and encourage community development. Next year, Corless Barfield Trial Group will strive to build these relationships through face-to-face interactions that are personal, simplistic, meaningful, enlightening, and fun.

Good businesses keep up with the hottest trends. Great ones anticipate them. To help you discern what’s coming next, we’re mining the 2018 forecasts, predictions, and projections from countless sources to bring you advice and opportunity for the coming year.

Stay tuned to our website, social media pages, and bi-monthly newsletters for an evolutionary approach to the law in 2018. Best wishes for a new year filled with health, wealth, success, and happiness!
